About the Pacesetters…
The Pacesetters are the official dance and drill team of JJ Pearce High School. The Pacesetters have 35 members and 4 officers this year. The Pacesetters have two additional performance groups within the Pacesetters: Dance Team and Express. Dance Team is composed of the most elite dancers on the team and Express is composed of the best high kickers on the team.
The Pacesetters perform at all pep rallies, varsity football games, as well as several varsity basketball games. The Pacesetters perform at various community events, hold an annual Holiday Bazaar, compete, host a dance clinic for young RISD students, and put on a spectacular show, Revue, each spring.
The Pacesetters are known for their discipline, respect, friendliness, and responsibility. Many of the Pacesetters are involved in additional co curricular and extra curricular activities, such as: Peer Helpers, SADD, Student Council, Academic Decathlon, Theatre, Art, Band, Choir, Habitat for Humanity, Young Life, Teens Against Tobacco Use, as well as many others.
